What are AUGMENTIN DUO and AUGMENTIN DUO FORTE tablets used for?

AUGMENTIN tablets contain two active ingredients. One of these is a penicillin called amoxycillin and the other is clavulanic acid.

AUGMENTIN tablets belong to the penicillin group of antibiotics.

AUGMENTIN tablets are used for the short term treatment of a wide range of infections caused by bacteria. These infections may affect the chest (e.g. bronchitis or pneumonia), bladder (e.g. cystitis), sinuses (e.g. sinusitis), the ears (e.g. otitis media) or the skin.

AUGMENTIN tablets work by killing the bacteria that cause these infections. AUGMENTIN tablets will not work against infections caused by viruses such as colds or the flu.

Your doctor may prescribe AUGMENTIN tablets for another use. If you want more information, ask your doctor.

There is no evidence that AUGMENTIN tablets are addictive.

Before you take AUGMENTIN DUO or AUGMENTIN DUO FORTE tablets

Do not take AUGMENTIN tablets if:

• you have had an allergic reaction to penicillin or similar types of antibiotics (such as cephalosporins) or any of the ingredients contained in AUGMENTIN tablets.
• you have been prescribed AUGMENTIN tablets even though there is a strong indication that it is safe to use AUGMENTIN in combination with an antibiotic (such as cephalosporin or macrolide antibiotics).
• the brand or generic penicillin antibiotics may be more effective than AUGMENTIN tablets in some patients. The specific penicillin antibiotics may be more effective in some patients. However, many of these antibiotics are safe and effective when used as described in this leaflet. See also Side Effects.
• The specific penicillin antibiotics may be effective in some patients. The specific antibiotic(s) chosen are beta-lactam, beta-lactam, digoxin, amoxicillin, cephalosporin, cephalosporin, cephalothin and cephamycetrim.
• the brand or generic penicillin antibiotics may be more effective than AUGMENTIN tablets. The selectivity of AUGMENTIN tablets is limited to beta-lactam antibiotics because of the extensive clinical trials used to date.
• the brand or generic penicillin antibiotics may be more effective than all of the antibiotics in AUGMENTIN tablets. The specific penicillin antibiotics may be effective when used in combination with AUGMENTIN tablets in some patients. See also Dosage.

Augmentin 625mg duo tablet is a combination of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat certain bacterial infections such as middle ear and sinus infections, sinus and middle ear infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections (UTI), skin and soft tissue infections, including dental infections, and bone and joint infections. Do not take this medicine if you have or have had a history of hypersensitivity (swelling in the face or throat and skin rashes), liver conditions, or jaundice.

Consult your doctor if you need clarification before starting the Augmentin 625mg duo tablet. Notify your doctor if you are planning to have a blood test related to RBC status, liver function test, or urine test because this medicine can affect the result of these tests. Do not consume this medicine if you are allergic to Amoxycillin, Clavulanic acid, Penicillins, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Doctor for advice about getting pregnant and breastfeeding. Notify your doctor if you have any kidney problems because the dose might be changed.

Augmentin 625mg duo tablet has been shown to be highly effective in treating Ear, sinus, and middle ear infections, sinus and middle ear infections. Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid are two antibiotics that belong to the group of antibiotics called Antibiotics. Augmentin Duo Oral Suspension for Oral Suspension 250 mg/5ml

Vibramycinis a generic medicine containing amoxicillin as its active ingredient. Augmentin is prescribed for the treatment of bacterial infections in adults and children of the following ages:

• Respiratory infections, such as bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, and pneumonia;
• Skin and soft tissue infections such as malaria;
• Urinary tract infections;
• Sexually transmitted infections (such as chlamydia and gonorrhea);
• Sexually transmitted infections (such as HIV, STI), andowderx infections.

Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic. It is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Augmentin also has bactericidal properties, which helps to kill the bacteria that cause infections.
